VELOCIPEDE Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 nuovo Firmware 032 e driver 132 http://www.fanatec.d...?id=CSW&lang=en In the support section of Fanatec.com you can now download the latest firmware for your CSW. The new updater is simplified and works on the most popular Windows systems. The electronics of the CSW is entirely different from the CSR and Porsche wheels and therefore the firmware numbers are different.
Turn on the wheel 2. The wheel should do the start up test rotating one way then the other 3. The LED screen should then indicate the firmware release. In my case it is 032 then 016 4. While the LED is displaying the firmware, a factory default wheel will quickly snap to the position defined as center. 5. The video manual seems to indicate it will always return to the center position but this is not true, it will only snap to the center position if the centering spring settings is on and high enough to accomplish the move. Many people don't like a strong centerspring, so they reduce the Spring setting and this make the wheel not auto-center after start-up. (this is not a problem, but it isn't what people expect either. Changing the Center Position 1. Turn on the wheel 2. Let the wheel complete the startup testing 3. Turn the wheel until you judge it as centered 4. Press the Tuning Button (small black button to the left of the LED screen) 5. The LED screen should now say "S_1" 6. Keeping the wheel in the position you want defined as center click down (toward the plane of the wheel face) both of the joysticks. This is a click like a mouse click not moving the actual sticks downward. 7. Press the Tuning button and the LED screen will go blank 8. Turn off the wheel by holding down the Start button until the red light on the start button goes off. Adjusting the Center Spring Power 1. Turn on the wheel 2. Let the wheel complete the startup testing 3. Turn the wheel until you judge it as centered 4. Press the Tuning Button (small black button to the left of the LED screen) 5. The LED screen should now say "S_1" 6. Using the right joy stick click it right until the LED says "SPr" (This was 9 clicks for me) 7. Rotate the right joystick and notice the numbers on the LED change (Range is Off-400) 8. Change the number to the desired setting (if you want the startup centering to happen it should be 40 or higher) 9. Press the Tuning Button and the LED should turn off. Adjusting the Force Feedback 1. Turn on the wheel 2. Let the wheel complete the startup testing 3. Turn the wheel until you judge it as centered 4. Press the Tuning Button (small black button to the left of the LED screen) 5. The LED screen should now say "S_1" 6. Using the right joy stick click it right until the LED says "FF" (This was 2 clicks for me) 7. Rotate the right joystick and notice the numbers on the LED change (Range is Off-400) 8. Change the number to the desired setting (if you want the startup centering to happen it should be 40 or higher) 9. Press the Tuning Button and the LED should turn off.
