rFactor 2: nuova RC disponibile con la feature per gareggiare contro contenuti non posseduti

Come promesso la scorsa settimana, ecco che Studio 397 aggiorna la build Release Candidate per accogliere una delle feature più richieste dai giocatori: la possibilità di gareggiare contro contenuti non posseduti.

Un articolo dettagliato verrà rilasciato nei giorni che precederanno il rilascio della build Q1 2023, ma il team ha comunque illustrato alcuni punti chiave di questa funzionalità:

• i contenuti non posseduti possono essere installati dal content manager
• nella lista di auto e piste, quelle non possedute saranno "disattivate" dalla scelta
• i giocatori potranno partecipare come spettatori anche se non posseggono nulla, a patto però di avere i contenuti installati
• i giocatori potranno gareggiare solo su piste che possiedono
• quando ci si unisce al server, le auto non possedute saranno disattivate dalla scelta
• la schermata di errore mentre si raggiunge un server adesso indicherà i contenuti mancanti
• la feature è funzionante sia in multiplayer che in single player

La nuova Release Candidate ha inoltre apportato migliorie e fix alle feature già aggiunte in precedenza. Ecco di seguito il changelog:

General

• Reworked steering configuration page to replace wheel-only settings with non-wheel relevant settings when a non-wheel device is in use
• Reintroduced adjustable steering rates
• Added selection for gamepad steering filters
• Made both steering filters adjustable independently
• Added snappiness slider to steering rates configuration – 0% is original behaviour, higher % is more snappy without having to increase steering rates
• Made new steering sensitivity filter more direct

Physics

• Fixed bug with reading brake maps from hdv/engine files. It now reads definitions with less than 11 entries again.
• Fixed visual steering lock mismatch at low speeds when using non-standard steering lock in the vehicle setup

AI

• Fix for AI running into the back of other vehicles

UI

• Made the hitbox for checkboxes in the content screen table slightly bigger

Known Issues

• Installing items from the content page requires a second request to install via the “updates” page
• Old versions of workshop packages are not correctly automatically removed while you are subscribed
• Cancel updates button is unresponsive
• Motion blur sometimes activates when it should not
