Salvo ritardi, il mese prossimo arriverà su App Store la nuova versione di Need For Speed già prevista sui formati da casa, ovvero The Run. Su iPhone e iPad, avremo 5 ambientazioni nella gara "coast to coast" che ci vede correre da San Francisco a New York, su una gamma di 30 auto da sogno. Il gioco riprende scenari e vetture delle uscite da casa, tra cui Ford GT4 e Mercedes SLS AMG. Naturalmente sarà incluso Autolog, per sfide con altri giocatori e il confronto costante dei record.

La funzione Autolog che ha debuttato l'anno scorso in Hot Pursuit torna anche nel prossimo capitolo Need For Speed The Run. Un trailer ci mostra come funzionerà e che tipo di sfide potremo vivere in diretta restando collegati con gli altri utenti. Naturalmente, le funzioni Autolog sono esclusive a chi gioca online.

Probabilmente i puristi e qualche fan di vecchia data storceranno il naso, ma bisogna concedere a EA il merito di aver provato finalmente a fare qualcosa di diverso per rinnovare la serie, e di aver inserito in un gioco di corse una storia che appassiona veramente, superando il semplice concetto di una serie di eventi senza senso che ha caratterizzato fino a oggi quasi tutti i giochi del settore.

Need for Speed The Run Car Reveal Wrap-Up #13

While the Need for Speed The Run demo is out this week, you may have been playing that and missed two car reveals for the full game.

The Pontiac Firebird Formula is a classic American F-body with a huge 6.6L V8.

We also unveiled the aftermarket favorite, Toyota Corolla GTS (AE86). It's a drift legend, but also has racing roots in a variety of series'.

Un montaggio dal sapore fortemente cinematografico è supportato ottimamente dalla colonna sonora d'eccezione scelta per il nuovo video, ovvero la canzone "Lonely Boy" del gruppo rock americano The Black Keys.
