Tramite i suoi account social Codemasters ha annunciato il rilascio, previsto per domani, dell'Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, meglio conosciuto come Portimao. Il famoso e spettacolare tracciato portoghese verrà aggiunto al gioco tramite un aggiornamento gratuito e sarà disponibile nelle modalità Time Trial, Grand Prix e Multiplayer.
Il circuito, già presente in F1 2021, non è l'unico tracciato extra in arrivo: Codemasters ha infatti commentato sotto il suo stesso tweet con una bandiera cinese e le parole "in arrivo presto", alludendo quindi allo Shanghai International Circuit, casa del Gran Premio di Cina dal 2004 al 2019. Dal 2020 il GP non è stato più disputato a causa della pandemia di Covid19
