VELOCIPEDE Posted March 31, 2014 Author Posted March 31, 2014 A new service called “Nissan Connect NISMO Plus” was revealed earlier this week in a teaser posted on Nissan’s official YouTube channel, and is set to be launched for the Nissan GT-R NISMO in June 2014. “You can re-create your drive on PlayStation,” says a spokesperson in the video. Kazunori Yamauchi is also in the teaser, and states “How to visually express driver-generated, real-time vehicle information, in a new, exciting way… Our challenge has just begun.” The data-collection service appears to work similarly to the CAN-Gateway ECU, which which powers the “GPS Data Logger” feature that was shown off for Gran Turismo 6 back in November, but the functionality hasn’t been mentioned by Polyphony Digital since that time. fonte GTPlanet
VELOCIPEDE Posted April 2, 2014 Author Posted April 2, 2014 GT6 v1.06 Coming April 7th – Includes GPS VisualiserGT6′s next update will be with us next week and brings with it the latest effort in blurring the lines between the game and real life – “GPS Visualiser” – demonstrated in the official video above...For those not into ghost-chasing, the resulting performance data can be combined with the Data Logger feature of GT6 to analyse the throttle and brake positions of the real drivers to improve your own times. GPS Data Logger feature in Gran Turismo 6 is set to be released in the game’s 1.06 update, which will be available to download on April 7th. We now have a bit more details on the feature, thanks to a press release from Toyota Japan. The car’s functionality will be called the “Sports Drive Logger”, and will be sold as a 91,800-yen (roughly $900 USD) option for the GAZOO Racing 86/BRZ Race car, available starting June 2, 2014 through Toyota Technocraft Co. The press release describes GT6 as the “first application” compatible with the feature, and notes that “users will be able to compare their own driving data against those of professional drivers,” perhaps hinting at what the two companies have planned in terms of future events for the public at large. Unfortunately, only three circuits will support the feature at launch, including Fuji Speedway International, Tsukuba Circuit 2000, and the Suzuka’s International Circuit, although the release promises that more are planned for the future. Future circuits will likely include Willow Springs, where I went hands-on with the technology at a demonstration event, and the Nurburgring Nordschleife, where much of its development took place.
