Sette vittorie (4 con Caracciola in Germania, Svizzera, Italia e Cecoslovacchia, 2 con Lang a Tripoli e all'Avus, 1 con von Brauchitsch a Monaco) su 12 Gran Premi (gli altri cinque vennero vinti dai cugini-rivali dell'Auto Union: dominio totale tedesco), più il relativo titolo di Campione d'Europa (assegnato quell'anno tenendo conto dei GP di Belgio, Monaco, Germania, Svizzera e Italia) per Caracciola, il suo secondo titolo dopo quello del 1935 (e ne vincerà un terzo nel 1938 ).
