We already started the beta tests but we need some more people to help us testing the product and also to make a review about the products for your community.

Here are the specific requirements:

• Needs to be able to test on Xbox 360 and PS3
  
• Bonus if you can also test on PC
  
• Needs to be able to write a written review or video review
  
• EU, Japan and USA participants only
  
• Minimum age: 21

• Test period: Until October 15th
  
• After the test period you can send back the wheel or purchase it with a 50% discount
  
• Shipping costs will be covered by Endor
  
• Of course we will give no guidelines what you write in your review. You don't have to be a fanboy to get the chance to test it.

CREDO che serva una BUONA conoscenza della lingua inglese, ma sopratutto daranno priorità a chi ha esperienza come recensore (linkando le review nei vari siti).

Mi devono ancora attivare l'account...figuriamoci...tentar non nuoce!

L'unica mia speranza è quella che capiti in mano a gente CAPACE e competente in grado di dare dei giudizi OBIETTIVI e che non abbia paura di criticare (io sono pure troppo cattivo ehehehehe).

Si parla pur sempre di una periferica da 500 euro , quindi eventuali "mancanze" da parte di Fanatec, o mancati consigli da parte dei beta testers peseranno sulla qualità finale del prodotto (ci siamo capiti no...?). Bella la frase dove dice "non dovete per forza essere dei Fanboy per far parte del betatesting..." ehehehehe...

Dopo questo piccolo "sfogo"...fatemi capire: Adesso viene fuori che I VOLANTI CSR saranno compatibili (entrambi) con XBOX360...!!??? ma che casino stanno facendo?!?...

per chi non fosse attento ai dettagli:

e vi ricordo che il ClubSportWheel era quello con il QR e il volante formula...

è bello vedere come aziende come fanatec tendano a chiedere il parere PUBBLICAMENTE il parere altrui, ma mi lascia non pochi dubbi la loro campagna pubblicitaria (che attualmente si basa su ipotesi, su foto, dimostrazioni pratiche e dichiarazioni POCO CHIARE...). Inutile dire che aspetterò ansioso fino a novembre-dicembre per poterlo provare

PS: se anche la fortuna mi premiasse dandomi la possibilità di fare da betatester, lo sapete che fino al 15 di ottobre NON VEDREMO alcun commento...vero?! non so come funziona da contratto, ma legalmente non si potrà commentare (pubblicamente) alcunchè riguardo ai test che stanno per avere inizio.

Vedi...il problema (secondo me) non è tanto il "trovare qualcuno che te lo recensisca bene". Qui si parla di BETA TESTING. Nel blog di Fanatec ho letto delle "proposte" tipo:

Sarei un perfetto betatester perchè trovo che i vostri volanti siano fantastici...

e ancora

sarei un perfetto betatester perchè ho tutto l'hardware basato sul marchio fanatec (pedaliera, cockpit, volante...persino il portachiavi...)...

insomma...si è capito no?!

Cose tipo: "sarei ONORATO di poter contribuire a migliorare il vostro prodotto" le posso anche capire...condividere, ma ricordiamoci che SIAMO NOI che stiamo facendo un favore a loro, e NON VICEVERSA!

Visti i loro precedenti (vedi periferiche...discutibili, oltre che inaffidabili), l'utenza potrebbe tranquillamente non comprare, quindi la NOSTRA OPINIONE, per loro, conta MOLTO.

Viceversa, noi li ripagheremmo (forse) sul fatturato...ma, ripeto, gli stiamo facendo un favore XD XD XD

Spererei che venisse data la possibilità di provare e di "criticare" (nell'apposito forum, dedicato ai SOLI membri e sviluppatori) ad un numero ELEVATO di simdriver, ma come spesso succede in questi casi, per accontentare la "massa", spesso, ci si trova di fronte ad un prodotto finito che accontenta i "bonaccioni" e delude profondamente gli hardcore gamer (vedi es. tutte le ultime produzioni di videogiochi, arcadozzi, partiti con delle promesse assurde e mai mantenute)

Più ci penso più mi spaventa l'dea di un betatesting "libero" dove anche il "consolaro ignorante" (con tutto il rispetto) può metter bocca dicendo: vorrei che avesse più luci colorate, invece di soffermarsi sulla qualità del FFB testandolo su più giochi e su piattaforme

...chissà quante ca------- si sentiranno dire XD XD XD per non parlare dei fanboy...

Le recensioni le vedremo DOPO l'uscita ufficiale del volante. Prima possiamo solo sperare che trovino dei tester INTELLIGENTI e capaci di elencare i "pro" e i "contro" di una periferica ancora in fase di sviluppo.

Aspetterò ansioso la mail di risposta da Fanatec, ma credo proprio che ormai sia troppo tardi... Se mi chiedevano di andare in germania a provarlo mi facevo pure le ferie, e ci stava il weekend sulla pista di Nordschleife hihihih

ps: attualmente siamo 4-5 italiani che hanno scritto nel blog. 2 di Drivingitalia...NICOLA, manchi tu?!? XD XD XD

come beta tester è ovvio che entro il 15 ottobre non potrai dire NULLA a riguardo altrimenti scatta la penale, ma quello che conta secondo me è che chi lo prova lo provi come si deve e soprattutto sia oggettivo e metta alla frusta l'hardware che ha sotto mano per capirne tutti i difetti e farli presente al produttore in modo che il prodotto finale sia il migliore possibile e da quel che ho sempre letto dai tuoi post tu mi sembri abbastanza adatto per questo compito visto che hai sempre "stuprato" qualsiasi periferica che ti capitava sotto mano e non hai mai lesinato con le critiche che, anche se alle volte potrebbero sembrare un pò troppo pesanti, sono sempre state molto mirate ed obiettive!! Inoltre possiedi già dei passati con altre periferiche di varie qualità, dal gt2 al g25 standard al g27 moddato etc quindi avresti anche un background abbastanza forte che aiuta parecchio in questi lavori!!

quindi speriamo in bene ed in bocca al lupo!!

IN relazione alle "critiche" mosse dagli utenti nel Blog di Thomas per quanto riguarda la scelta azzardata di progettare 2 volanti con elettronica e compatibilità differenti:

Gli si chiedeva in un post i motivi che hanno portato Fanatec a scegliere di commercializzare 2 volanti differenti con compatibilità per piattaforme DIVERSE, costringendo i compratori a fare una scelta, o a dover comprare 2 volanti per giocare con tutte le piattaforme e avere "il volante definitivo" (beato quello che potrà permetterseli entrambi).

Il post in questione dice:

I for one play approx 50% XBOX and 40% PC (Iracing) and the last bit on PS3.

In my perfect world it would be great if you somehowe could make a wheel, where it was possible to chance the electronics and therefore make options awailable when playing PC, and still use the wheel when playing XBOX (Forza4)

So perhaps a wheel where the quick release was left out (not possible because of XBOX limitations ?), but still the possibility to change the rim. as on the CSR E. As I have understood it, the hardware in the wheels (CSR E and CSW) are almost identical (motors, belts etc). And then som kind of latch on the fron/back of the base, where the electronics could be change via. Like a memory card slot on a stationary PC. When the electronics were changed, the rim changed, a 3 point switch to tell the wheel that "now its time for Forza, Iracing - GT5 etc"

The wheel could then be delivered with the electronics needed by each costumer. when ordering the wheel it is an option what electronics is wanted - what capabilities is needed on the wheel. Or better yet: 3 printcards included, and all 3 platforms available.

This way the wheel would be a "master of all trades" and it would not be needed to change wheel on your setup, every time the platform is changed.

I am the lucky owner of a GT2 wheel, and just love the alcantara rim. This would be a nice option.

If this is possible to implement I dont know, but I am guessing that a lot of simracers would pay the money to get the best and most versatile wheel on the marked. I would defenately pay say 1000 EUR and have ONE wheel in my setup, change the electronics, put on a new rim and play what ewer I feel like today.As it is going to be now, I will have to buy both wheels, and then fight the wife, in order to have 2 setups in my livingroom - not easy ;o))

Finally it would be nice to get som info on the upcomming shifter(s). What specs will it have. Adjustable resistance, 7 speed open gate, metal construction etc. Could be great to now, how it will rank against the new

Thrustmaster TH8 RS shifter which looks awesome

La risposta di Thomas (che NON mi è piaciuta...ma proprio per niente... visto che i problemi sembrano legati a questioni di mercato e licenze com microsoft...)

---I see that there is a market for such a wheel but it is extremely small and we would have to put a lot of effort into developing new electronics. So even under the assumption we would get a license it would have to cost a fortune to make such a wheel. We are expecting to sell much more wheels to PC users and they don't care or don't want to be affected by console compatibility issues.
