as i said to me looks like you want gtr evo or need for speed with netkar physics why dont you ask those developers to improve physics? rather than converting netlar into one ot those arcades..

all these things you are asking, in fact are not important, since you wont even look at that after couple hours of racing, i think netkar graphics are good enough for a race simulation. what really care is have more cpu and performance for physics calculations than for a bit of crowd on the stands or that sort of stuff ,

you simply cant have it all in a simulation, its good to improve graphics, why not but please dont ask for those fake things like bloom, and hdr

its like adding fake bumps in a track..

You are right about NFS , probably becouse thats the game you need to play .

GTR EVO is put in the market as a sim, but it has inferior physics to 'real' simulations, who strive to be as realistic as possible. The only realistic simulations we have now are iRacing, Live for Speed and netKar Pro.

Mcsaltens means that the valuable resources of this one man company should mostly be directed towards exactly that aspect, physics, tires and realism. iRacing is the most popular simulation now and it surely isn't the best looking, still we die hard simmers chose it any day over Dirt or something good looking.

Thanx Mikeit.As i said i just rediscovered netkar pro after many years of neglecting to follow its development.I was playing for years lfs and the gtr series until the last year i moved to rfactor (as it has some amazing tracks/roads and great normal cars) and from time to time i play gtr evo/race on.I even tried iracing but to be quite frank i was left with a bitter taste.

Netkar Pro has hand down the best feeling,be it on road,be it off road of any other sim on the market.Especially having the dirt on tires after leaving the track is amazing.And i liked the sound also a lot.

Yet to be honest ,as i said before i am not that much into open wheelers.I love cars,especially normal unmodified ones.I love along the usual tracks to race on mountains or roads.And i do love having great animated cockpits(as i always play from that view) as also having nice weather effects.

Is it a bad thing to ask from a simulator to also feature some decent graphics ? A lot of people make it sound like its one or another.But from the recent competitor simulators i see they are really trying to improve on everything.

McSaltens have you ever played Gtr evo/race on (The race on install adds improvements on gtr evo btw) ? Have you played Rfactor with the real feel pluggin and the recent incredible mods ? With a decent wheel with a cluch and having all the aids turned of both are incredible games.Not as much as netkar pro definetely but none the less still quite incredible.There are so much more things happening on both games that you can loose hours without noticing playing them.From night to day transitions on rfactor to some great weather effects on gtr,to some great real time lighting with a hdr plugin.Both games have great tracks and roads to race(especially rfactor with some incredible roads courses).

Unless you have tried something don't try to dismiss it.A lot of improvements i have previously suggested here and Kunos took not of them are not that hard to implement.Instead of helping Kunos by making suggestions how to improve his game,most people try to "pad him in the back" by telling him how perfect netkar pro is.

For Kunos to make a game so realistic as netkar is nothing sort of astonishing.The least we could do is help him by making clear suggestion of various feasible improvements.The improvements i suggest earlier along with the "infamous" hillclimb and a few more tracks and normal cars could make netkar pro a much better deal in the eyes of a lot of people that are held back by the game as it is now.

the age of graphics OR physics has been long gone. With multi-core processors you can get as hardcore you want by using 1-2-3 cores for it and leaving one core taking care of graphics. the problem is that, in words, this sounds extremely simple, coding for multithread however, is pretty hard expecially starting from a software that wasn't conceived in the multicore era.

So nowadays it's not a matter of choosing how to use the available CPU time, it is a matter of development time dedicated to one or the other features.

Believe me i played grand prix, grand prix 2 grand prix 3, grand prix 4, f1 challenge, rfactor, gtr, gtr2, gtl, gtr evo lastest updates etc, iracing, netkar and rfactor and gtr evo a lot i know what i say to me those are games compared to netkar.

To kunos please fix the bugs we have try to change the net code please we still having issues like going down the straight 50 meter behind a car and having a lag colision, that simply cant go on we need it fixed specially when you do an endurance event, its very fustrating. and some other bugs, and if its possible weather would be cool

what i would like its the bugs fixed, and improvement of the things that make this simulator better than others and its more important to fix bugs and improve physics and ffb or a new car, or for example improve the engine damage, have engine water oil temp reader and things like these implemented in the simulator, also punctures or gearbox failure and things like that for me this is improving the game with things more important that stupid fake graphics things like hdr or bloom :S

p.s. weather dinamic system also is something we want.
