But, I am somewhat amused that several posts have mentioned money going to R2p rather than ISI. They seem to think that R2p does nothing for ISI. Sites like R2p and others, bring racers together. What products are promoted on R2p? There is GTR2, RACE, GTL, and rFactor. (as well as a few odd Nascar 2k3 modders) Now...put on your Monty Python thinking cap and tell me how ISI benefits from sites like R2p? need a hint? ALL the users have bought one or more of the above titles. At some point, all of the users have had at least some cash funnel through to ISI. Simbin/Blimey and other teams have paid ISI directly to use the ISI code. (that is money in ISI's pocket) Other users have joined R2p to avoid the mayhem on the public servers. For each user that purchased rF, that is money in ISI's pocket. For each user that joins R2p, ISI gets either directly or indirectly a piece of the Sim Dollar. So for whatever reason, ISI has benefited financially from R2p, whether a dime from R2p fees ever goes to ISI is not the point. R2p servers perpetuate the use and continued purchasing of current and future ISI products. This is no different than Best Buy or CompUSA getting a deal from a publisher to sell a product at a reduced rate. But in this case, we are not even talking about MONEY!!! not one single dime. You have already paid for this via your purchase of rFactor. DANG! ISI gets EVERY SINGLE PENNY!!!! R2p, just gets a couple of weeks. Some deal.
