Due to the unique landscape, the project pushed them hard to innovate. We developed advanced multi-material shaders, we finally debut the foliage system, and we have completely re-done our off-track terrain process. Our whole team contributed towards this result, from our multi-decade veterans to our amazing new hires who have brought so much energy to the company. These improvements will be on new tracks and eventually rolled out to older tracks. Our broadcast team will be relieved to have more placement options for their cameras with a new high-quality five-layer terrain process. Our tree implementation received a complete overhaul fixing significant lighting and shading issues present in the former model. L'ultima di una lunga lista di Porsche 911 costruita per le corse auto sportive, l'edizione 992 della Porsche 911 GT3 R segue le orme della GT3 R basata sulla 991 che ha debuttato per la stagione 2019. Si unisce anche all'attuale modello della Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, che ha debuttato nel 2021, come Porsche da corsa basata sulla generazione 992. Nella sua inaugurale stagione IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, cinque squadre - Pfaff Motorsports, MDK Motorsports, Wright Motorsports, AO Racing Team e Kelly-Moss con Riley - hanno tutti portato almeno una 992 in griglia attraverso le divisioni GTD e GTD Pro. La 911 GT3 R (992) è alimentata da un motore Porsche da 4,2 litri, un passo avanti rispetto alle unità da 4,0 litri della precedente vettura. La sua prima vittoria dell'IMSA è arrivata per mano della squadra GTD Pro di Pfaff di Klaus Bachler, Patrick Pilet e Laurens Vanthoor nella 12 Ore di Sebring 2023, e il duo di Bachler e Pilet l'ha sostenuta il mese successivo con un terzo posto per le strade di Long Beach.
