iRacing: build di marzo 2019 con la nuova BMW M8 GTE

Il team di iRacing ha confermato che, salvo imprevisti, nella prossima build di marzo del simulatore americano, sarà disponibile anche la nuovissima BMW M8 GTE, attualmente in fase di approvazione tecnica.

Perhaps the worst kept secret at iRacing was that a new GTE car was coming. Today we are pleased to announce the BMW M8 GTE car is in the final stages of development and will be arriving to iRacing soon. The V8 powered coupe will join the GTE class that already includes the Porsche 911 RSR, Ford GT and Ferrari 488 GTE.

What does that mean for series like IMSA and iRacing Le Mans where we already have the maximum of 6 different cars racing? We are currently testing seven cars and it is looking good that we will simply add the car to these series.

Currently we are targeting a Season 2 release for the BMW M8 pending final testing and approval from the manufacturer.

E' disponibile da oggi la nuova Season 2 2019 Build di iRacing. La nuova release del simulatore americano porta con sè numerose ed importanti novità, a cominciare dalla BMW M8 GTE, gli aggiornamenti per i circuiti di Daytona e Charlotte, l'implementazione dell'atteso HDR e migliorie anche sul fronte dei motori, con l'inserimento della possibilità di stallo del veicolo.

The scheduled quarterly release/update is coming March 5th. Here are some highlights of what’s new:
BMW M8 GTE car now available
The Version 7 Tire Model has been enabled on the Skip Barber Formula 2000 car
Daytona International Speedway has been updated with the new grandstands
Charlotte Motor Speedway has been completely updated – 6-new track configurations available (Free Track)
HDR (High Dynamic Range) Rendering has been added
Engine model enhancements – you can now stall your vehicle
