i'm very disappointed to find i can no longer use a button for my clutch, which is something i've done in all my racing sims for so long that it's not worth it to me to take the hit of auto-clutch on times. :(

if this can't be worked around, i'm going to regretfully have to un-install nkP without even experiencing the new content, (and yes i did try using my old .ini, which was set up for button clutch on the same wheel i use now}.

thanks in advance for any solution. :)

I use auto-clutch, just because it's actually better than the manual (which feels nothing like they do in real life)eclipsee_steering.gif

Sorry, but it makes the car sluggish compared to a button clutch, and i'm just too accustomed to button clutch to change after nearly 15 years of sim racing using it.

I fully undrstand it's nothing like a "real" clutch, lol!

I'm 48 years old and have over 30 years in automotive repair, so please don't insult my knowledge.

You seem quite defensive about your experience in automotive repair - does that translate well to using clutch buttons in computer racing games?

Long time Al! (RIP RSC)

It was tough convincing myself that a button could emulate a clutch early on, but once i got used to it, it became second nature, and being forced to either go auto or quit driving since the patch just blows.

It wouldn't be such a big deal if this wasn't the ONLY sim I drive that tries to force auto mode on me, which finds me still pushing the clutch button instinctively when i take off, or if i run off the track.

the patch just blows.

apart from dropping the button clutch feature where do you feel this patch is lacking?

Not complaining at all about the patch, just the lack of support for button clutch since.
