Il prossimo aggiornamento a Need for Speed World aggiunge una nuova modalità per il multiplayer del gioco, ovvero la struttura base della nuova declinazione MMO sviluppata da EA all'interno dell'universo racing di Need for Speed.

La nuova introduzione è "Team Escape", che comprende nuove possibilità di "placcaggio" per la fazione dei "poliziotti" impegnati negli inseguimenti e nuove abilità di squadra, come "Team Emergency Evade" e "Team Slingshot", con le corse team pursuit allungate fino a 8 minuti.

Here are the patch notes for tomorrow's Need for Speed World free-to-play racing game maintenance window.

Purpose: The purpose of this maintenance window is to patch and maintain game servers while upgrading the game client.

Duration: Four hours

Start: Wednesday, 30 March 2011, 13:00 hrs PDT (1:00 PM) / Wednesday, 30 March 2011, 21:00 hrs (9:00 PM) GMT

End: Wednesday, 30 March 2011, 17:00 hrs PDT (5:00 PM) / Thursday, 31 Mar 01:00 hrs (01:00 AM) GMT

Affected Users: During the maintenance window, the servers will be offline and users will not be able to log in and play Need for Speed World. Players who are already logged in and playing NFS World will be disconnected from the server and therefore, disconnected from the game.

RELEASE NOTES

New Features:-

- Team Escape, the brand new Co-op Game Mode has been added and is available to all players for free!

- Enjoy 6 Escapes that span across the World.

- With the introduction of this new mode comes 2 brand new Powerups (Team Emergency Evade + Team Slingshot)

- An all-new Dodge Charger SRT8 Super Bee (Team Escape Edition) is now available for purchase with SpeedBoost from the Car Dealer.

Bug Fixes/Changes:

- Made improvements to the game client’s stability.

- Fixed an issue with pursuits that prevented the heat level from resetting after being busted.

- Fixed an issue with pursuits that prevented roadblocks from affecting the busted meter.

- Fixed an issue that caused the fuel tank door to disappear from the Dodge Charger SRT8 Super Bee after applying the Enervate body kit.

- Fixed an issue that caused the ’65 Pontiac GTO’ ride height to appear lower in the Safehouse than in Free Roam.

- Fixed an issue that caused the Lamborghini Murciélago’s stock rims to appear black when applying any paint colour.

- Fixed an issue that prevented the Nissan Skyline R34’s rims from being paintable while having the Kimura body kit installed.

- The Super Bee emblem will no longer disappear from the side of the Dodge Charger SRT8 Super Bee when applying body kits.

- Missing vinyl thumbnails were added for the Shift 2 edition Toyota Supra.

- Fixed an issue that caused the Aftermarket Shop icon to appear pixellated on all levels of detail.

Available now, players can team up with three friends to win the race while battling a determined police force. This is a race to the finish line using any means necessary including roadblocks, spike strips and deadly rhino SUVs. Players can also fight back with two brand new power-ups; Team Emergency Evade, which can be used to save friends from getting busted with a more powerful blast than regular evade, and Team Slingshot which gives one team a huge burst of speed.

Additionally, Need for Speed World players can now further personalize their cars with an enhanced visual customization system featuring window tints, underbody neons, license plates, wheels, and lowering kits.
