Guest Mika08 Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 Ciao ragazzi!!!

Guest Gogetas Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 Slip curves in GTR2 are just horribly wrong after the peaks indeed. They just copied the longitudinal stuff over to lateral, yikes. I'm not exaggerating, there are parts of those lateral force curves that are off as much as 40% from reality. All of ISI's and Simbin's stuff is like that though. Everything's just fine though and great fun as long as you're driving normally, so I still buy and enjoy their sims a great deal, but when you go past the limit it's just way, way wrong. That's why countersteering just doesn't work in their sims. In my vids you can see how easy it is to drive with the throttle and keep the steering near neutral like folks do in reality. That's really hard to do in GTR or any of those sims.. The tire model Chris was using for WSC back in probably '99 or 2000 was way, way better than any of their stuff is. lil
