La sigla TC sta per TurboCharged e la vettura fu la base delle 935 Gruppo 5 del 1976 e delle 934/5 ovvero le 934 convertite a Gruppo 5 con motore turbo. Credo che la sua assenza dalle gare storiche dipenda dal fatto che fu praticamente un prototipo per le Gruppo 5 e non ando' mai in produzione. Il TC sta per Turbo Carrera. La base di quest'auto fu la RSR Proto. La TC fece molte gare arrivando anche seconda a LeMans, naturalmente nn vi fu mai una versione stradale.
