Nel corso della nottata, Microsoft ha finalmente mostrato, durante l'apposita conferenza al E3, la demo di Forza Motorsport 7. Il nuovo capitolo è stato pensato ovviamente sulle specifiche di Xbox One X, con pieno supporto alla risoluzione 4K Ultra HD e 60 immagini al secondo. Microsoft ha mostrato la corsa a Dubai a bordo della Porsche GT 2 RS presentata proprio nel corso dell'appuntamento losangelino: ventiquattro vetture in pista, tutte costantemente illuminate dinamicamente e tutte, come l'intero garage di 600 automobili, visionabili prima e dopo anche in modalità Forza Vista. Per la prima volta i piloti saranno visualizzatili al di fuori delle macchine, avranno una cura maniacale paragonabile a quello dei loro mezzi e saranno sia di sesso maschile che femminile (come si nota dal trailer di lancio). Ci sono tantissimi dettagli che contribuiscono a ottenere un look fotorealistico: oltre alle nuvole (e alle relative ombre) calcolate in tempo reale un enorme passo in avanti è stato fatto grazie all'adozione della fotogrammetria in 4K per la realizzazione delle texture degli ambienti, che sono "disegnate" a partire da fotografie scattate dal team di sviluppo e poi importate nel gioco. Microsoft ha spiegato che si è posta grande attenzione per meglio riprodurre, sia a livello estetico che in termini di giocabilità, "le diverse vibrazioni che differenti parti della macchina subiscono durante la corsa". Non si sa quanto volutamente, fatto sta che sono trapelate prima del tempo alcune immagini e la data di uscita di uno dei titoli più attesi della conferenza di Microsoft di questa sera al E3: Forza Motorsport 7. Il gioco è previsto per il 3 ottobre 2017. Le immagini, catturate in 4K, sono evidentemente relative alla versione Xbox Scorpio, anche se il gioco dovrebbe essere parte del programma Xbox Play Anywhere e quindi giocabile anche su PC con Windows 10.
