VELOCIPEDE Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 test a Zolder riuscito: http://www.iopenermedia.com Successful trial run of iOpener with WTCC Chevrolet on circuit Zolder Today marked yet another successful day of trial runs for the engineers of iOpener, for they tested the iOpener Enabled equipment for this first time with the WTCC Chevrolet team! While the team has had a clear winning streak of five wins so far this season, they decided on spending a day at next year's WTCC track of Zolder, which enjoys being iOpener Enabled. "We are developing the cars further during this season, with an emphasis on fine-tuning," says Mark Busfield, Chevrolet Racing Project Manager. Amongst others the Chevrolet Cruze was fitted with the Orange Box (iOpener's positioning & telemetry box) in order to make use of the iOpener Enabled circuit feature. Just like the team of the Chevrolet Cruze, soon gamers from around the world will be able to enjoy Zolder in the beta test of the first iOpener Enabled game: Real-time Racing. Together with SimBin the iOpener Enabled circuit of Zolder will play an important role in bringing the real race cars to the virtual world. Cruze driver Nicola Larini is also looking forward to the racing on Zolder: "I am really happy that the WTCC is coming back here and although this will only happen next year, having the possibility to test now will certainly be useful."

Teo 91 Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 (edited) http://www.simbin.se/news.php?newsid=164 Beta release of iOpener Enabled SimBin game...the world on pole position! Vara/Aachen, 1 October 2009 The next generation of race gaming has started! As of today per continent randomly selected beta testers have the opportunity to test the first ‘iOpener Enabled’ race game RTR (Real-Time Racing) to its limits. For the next four months 5,000 gamers will be racing from behind their own PC against real professionals driving real powerful GT cars at Circuit Zolder in Belgium. In the last months already over 11,000 enthusiastic gamers and race fans registered at www.real-timeracing.com to have a chance to be the first to take on the challenge of racing against the professional race drivers during live events, and based on stored data after the events. The first live event during the four month beta period will take place on October 8, 2009. The new immersive iOpener Enabled feature is based on iOpener’s patented technology providing highly accurate positioning and telemetry data of the real cars, and specially developed iOpener software, which are injected in the game. SimBin CEO, Henrik Roos, says: “We are excited to be the first to introduce the revolutionary iOpener Enabled feature into a game and expose it to the racing world. RTR is a game which both sim racers as well as casual gamers will enjoy playing." Andy Lürling, iOpener CEO adds: “We have great live events in the pipeline for the next months, which will bring a striking experience to the beta testers. After years of preparation we are excited to receive the first feedback from the testers." Although the beta period has started, people can still register at www.real-timeracing.com to have the chance to get a last minute beta tester “wild card”. The RTR crew confirmed to appoint site visitors this honour on a daily basis. On the RTR site, race and game fans will be updated on a daily basis about the progress of the beta as well as the official release of the game. Edited October 1, 2009 by VELOCIPEDE
VELOCIPEDE Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 A small two person delegation from the belgian simracing community limracing.be paid us a visit yesterday and while they were here the took the chance to get their hands on the beta of Real-Time Racing Game for an exclusive shake down.Jochen Lenaerts was clearly amused after his first minutes behind the wheel and commented: "I am really impressed with the game so far. The Circuit of Zolder that i have visited many times myself looks amazing and a true replica of the real track! Although I am used to race with my own steeringwheel it was very easy to adapt to the new wheel and iOpener Enabled Playseat, so I had some good moments of fun driving with the cars around the track" His friend Bert Poesen said to us: "The sound of the cars and the smooth gameplay are a big thumbs up for me!" It seems both gentlemen pretty much agreed on that last quote according to the picture. With RTR going in beta for a large group of testers today we will from here regurlarly update you with developments!
