Tramite un comunicato ufficiale iRacing ha annunciato di aver acquisito Orontes Games, casa sviluppatrice tedesca, e il suo engine proprietario, utilizzato per creare DRAG. Christian e Thorsten Folkers si uniranno al team di iRacing ma continueranno a lavorare al loro motore proprietario, sviluppare nuovi giochi e portare la loro esperienza e tecnologia ad iRacing. Il team americano invece si impegnerà ad aiutare i Folkers a creare un team più largo in Germania. Tony Gardner, presidente di iRacing, ha dichiarato: Christian Folkers ha aggiunto: Gardner conferma che il team rimarrà concentrato al 100% su iRacing e che adesso il piano è di aggiungere ancora più risorse per rinsaldare il focus su iRacing -

The new game mode recreates the pressure, excitement and tactical depth of drag racing. The Drag Pack features three custom drag strips at the Hockenheimring, the Autosport Raceway and Detroit, each featuring routes of up to a mile. Players will also receive three blisteringly fast drag cars to master, nine new Single Player Championships (including practice, qualifying and knockout races) and an online multiplayer mode. In addition to racing the new cars in the pack – a Hot Rod and two Funny Cars which will reach speeds of over 300 m.p.h. - players can also race the vast majority of the cars featured in GRID Autosport, including the game’s Hypercars and Supercars.
