Mentre la Williams e la BMW hanno prolungato il loro contratto fino al 2009 e Norbert Haug ha annunciato che nella prossima stagione la Mercedes fornirà i propri motori anche ad un'altro team oltre la McLaren, il più veloce nelle sessioni di prove libere di questa mattina è stato Panis con la Toyota (1.31.181) !
