Usare il simracing per preparare un test in pista in Ferrari

Un nuovo e spettacolare video realizzato da Scott "Driver61" Mansell ci mostra come utilizzare il simracing per preparare una giornata di test reale a bordo di una Ferrari 488 Challenge. Il pilota inglese, grande appassionato di simulazione di guida, ci spiega in dettaglio la metodologia di lavoro utilizzata, fin dal semplice imparare un tracciato mai visto prima come quello di Valencia, utilizzando il simulatore Assetto Corsa.

Sim racing is such a useful tool now that we’re using simulators to test and learn prior to real-world racing. In this video, me and one of my drivers explain how we’re using sim racing to best effect during a recent test in a Ferrari 488 Challenge car at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia. The racing sim software we used was Assetto Corsa as that’s the only sim I could find that had the Valencia circuit. Stuart used a Ferrari 488 Challenge model in Assetto, but I had to use a 488 GT3 as I couldn’t download the correct model.
