Ben Collins, pilota reale diventato famosissimo per aver impersonato la figura del misterioso STIG nel programma televisivo Top Gear della BBC, è da qualche tempo il consulente tecnico per la fisica del nuovo C.A.R.S. degli SMS. Ben ha dichiarato in proposito di essere rimasto assai impressionato dal software e lo ha paragonato ai simulatori professionali utilizzati in Formula 1 e Le Mans.
“So far my impression of this sim is that the physics are very similar to the Le Mans / F1 simulator we’ve been using this year at Wirth Research for the Le Mans Series, which is very impressive, the graphics are mega and track realism is extremely close for such an early stage in development. If this is the early stages the end result could be stunning.”Aside from having served as “The Stig”, Collins is also an active race driver, having competed in numerous racing series since 1994, including Formula 3, FIA GT, BTCC and V8 Supercar competition. Furthermore, Collins also competes in the famous 24 Hours of Le Mans, finishing the 2011 edition 4th in the LMP2 class with RML.
