It’s the first Friday of the month and that means one thing: A new development build of Slightly Mad Studios’ WMD-powered Project CARS is available for all our members to try, including Juniors. The new build comes with plenty of stuff to be excited about as an all-new car and a major new feature are being introduced, alongside an exciting competition with a very special reward.- The new build introduces the Caterham R500 Superlight, a lightweight British sports car that will give you the ride of your life. Powered by a 263hp engine while weighing just 503 kilos, the car has an extremely favorable power to weigh ratio that results in stunning on-track performance.
- The brand-new leader board feature is now live, allowing you to see where you stack up against the best drivers in our community. Hot laps are automatically transferred to the leaderboard system and can be browsed using car & track filters. You think you are quick enough to beat the best of the best? Now you can prove it!
The new build also kicks off our first event as the Eurogamer Hotlap Challenge is now open. For more info on the competition and the exciting prize waiting for the winner, click here.
The build is now available for download for all WMD members starting from Junior level. For a one-time membership fee of 10€, members get to follow the development of Project CARS up close and get to enjoy regular development builds of the title.
