Codemasters ha confermato l'eliminazione del temutissimo Online Pass da F1 2013: anche gli inglesi quindi bocciano questo sistema di "sicurezza" adottato inizialmente dai publisher come deterrente all'acquisto di giochi usati, ma che non si è evidentemente rivelato troppo valido, dal punto di vista economico e soprattutto di immagine. "Abbiamo recentemente rivisto il sistema di attivazione VIP Pass e abbiamo deciso di non includerlo in F1 2013 e in F1 2013: Classic Edition", ha riferito un portavoce di Codemasters. I simdrivers possono tirare un sospiro di sollievo...

Can you race classic cars in career?
No. Classics Mode allows you to drive classic cars in a Grand Prix, time trial and time attack. We’ll have more to share about other classic game modes at a later date....
Can you make pit-stops with the classic cars?
Yes....
Will F1 2013 have RaceNet support?
Yes. We’ll be revealing more specific RaceNet features closer to release....
Why no McLaren?
There’s no doubting McLaren’s pedigree in F1 over the two eras which we are featuring. Sadly for us, they have exclusive development rights with another game which we weren’t able to overcome in the timeframe we needed. Discussions are ongoing and we would love to feature McLaren, and other F1 Teams, in the future. This is very much our first step into the ‘Classic Arena’....
