QuoteReturning in support of the main Le Mans Virtual Series championship, the Le Mans Virtual Cup has been designed as a platform for the rFactor 2 community to race at a world-class level in front of a live audience, with a view to earning a seat in the main 24 Hours of Le Mans Virtual 24 at the end of the season.
The series will run to a spec formula rule set, with the car of choice being the potent Ligier JS P320 LMP3, mirroring the real world Le Mans Cup Series. Each race will last for the duration of 45 minutes, with a single pit stop mandated by the series regulations. Cars will be raced as single driver entries, with hotlap qualification sessions taking place in advance of each of the three rounds of the series.
The Le Mans Virtual Cup will be open to 30 drivers per split, per race – with a maximum of 10 splits allocated to each race event. The top split at each event will be broadcast live ahead of the Le Mans Virtual Series qualification sessions.
