T.I.R. è stato uno dei giochi più discussi di questo periodo. Dotato di una grafica ottima, non riusciva a ripetersi sotto l'aspetto fisico. Fortunatamente, grazie all'impegno di alcuni appassionati, ecco una patch (la Advanced Physic Patch 2) che migliora la resa fisica senza, ovviamente, stravolgere la "base" del gioco.
"This patch uses settings from McGonigle's "TIRFirstAid" patch, along with additional tweaks to solve the brake lockup problem, and some AI enhancements to tame their behavior a bit. These tweaks transform Total Immersion Racing from an arcade racer to something much more sim-like."
