Adalyn Posted March 30 Posted March 30 (edited) Hello everyone, My device uses a servo motor for the X-axis and a stepper motor for the Y-axis. When performing circular interpolation, a noticeable seam is visible on the trajectory, as if the stepper motor is responding a beat slower. I've matched the pulse frequency and acceleration/deceleration parameters on both sides, but it still doesn't work. Is it because stepper motors are inherently slower than servo motors, making them incompatible for high-precision interpolation? Or is it that the controller isn't optimized for each type of motor when distributing pulses? Has anyone tried using this mixed setup before? Can this combination actually achieve the desired accuracy? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Edited March 30 by VELOCIPEDE NOT INSERT LINK
