F1 2013 Physics Set 1.0
By: Nicola Acciarri

This is a complete physics set ( Physics file, Suspension file, Engine file, Tyre file, damage file ) for a F1 2013 model in rFactor 1. The files are made to be used in any F1 2013 Mod, especially Mods for Leagues, since the set is including tyres ready for RFE plugins, featuring new Pirelli 2013 specifics.
Particularly, the pack includes:
1) Physics file: made in order to work with the included Suspension file; the file is reporting correct 2013 F1 car weight ( 642 kg ), new tyre changing time, and new downforce values. Furthermore, Physics file is presented in 2 versions: the first is for the “standard” file of Suspensions; the second version is adapted to an optional Suspension file, featuring rear Pull Rod arms. Players may choose the one they prefer, depending on driving sensations (* See below ).

2) Engine is ready for Kers ( High_Voltage plugin ), and is featuring 750 CV, 18000 rpm, and max torque of 301 Nm @ 15500 rpm. Optionally, there is also a 740 CV engine version ( 18000 max rpm; max torque 297 Nm @ 15500 rpm ).

3) Suspension file, in standard way, is made to work with standard Physics file, while the “Pull Rod” version may works only with the specific version of Physics file.

4) Tyre files are featuring 2013 Pirelli, in grip and wear. Respect to 2012 Pirelli ones, the new 2013 tyres are less durable ( higher wear, for AI and Human players ), with less warm up time. Color compound for Hard model is Orange and no more Silver, like in 2012, while Supersoft, Soft, Medium, Intermediate, and Monsoon compounds are presenting still 2012 colors: respectively, red, yellow, white, green, and blue.
2013 rain tyres ( Intermediate and Monsoon ) present few changes and they nearly have the same 2012 performances.
On the other hand, 2012 Supersoft, Soft, Medium compounds are corresponding in grip and wear values to the new 2013 Soft, Medium, and Hard tyres. Improvements have been made also on the operating temperature range, while the Supersoft compound is new for 2013. With these modifications, 2013 Pirelli tyres present less duration than those from the 2012 season; particularly, Supersoft tyres may offer their best performances in the first 10 laps, degrading to a useless grip at 14°-15° lap; Soft may present a useful range in the first 12-14 laps, degrading to a useless grip until 16°-18° lap. 2013 Medium compound has a useful range of utilization until the 18° lap, with endlife at 20°-22° lap. For the first 4 races of the 2013 season, also Hard compound was new, corresponding in wear to the Medium compound of the 2012 season: here, You will find in the main pack this kind of compounds, while in an “option” folder You will find 2013 Pirelli tyres, including a modified Hard compound, that is the same as in the 2012 season ( less wear than 2013 early season version, but also less grip ). Basically, the difference in laptime between 2013 compounds may be considered as follows:
Soft is less fast of Supersoft of about 0,300-0,500 seconds; Medium are less fast then Soft of about 0,500 seconds, and Hard compound – early version- remains less fast than medium one of 0.400-0,500 seconds. However, with “Barcelona” 2013 version, Hard compound may result less fast of medium compound until 0.800 – 1 second.

5) Damage file includes values that are more realistic than those included in ISI default file.

6) Optionally, You can use an alternative F1_2013_HeadPhysics file for Helmet movements while driving.

To give You a direct “demo” version of these files, I prepared a pack: You find the download link inside. The files I put in my F1 2013 Physics set are free, and suitable, if You like them, for the new F1 2013 Mods that are going to be released.
Just remember credits.
Thank You

grande lavoro!

Ciao e grazien
