R3E -> A Taste of Italy

Twenty kilometers north of Milan, Italy, built walking distance from the Royal Villa and accented by Europe’s fourth largest walled park, is a high speed automobile racing circuit known for punishing gearboxes and providing a challenge to even the most talented drivers.

Today’s modernized 11 turn, 5.793 kilometer GP layout is home to the F1 Italian Grand Prix. During a 2004 qualifying session here, Rubens Barrichello set the F1 lap record with a 1:21.046 behind the wheel of his Ferrari.

With its fast sweeping turns, drivers must push their cars at full throttle through about 80% of each lap, making this a truly high speed course in the world’s top racing series. The necessity to race flat out through so much of the course makes this track an easy favorite for motorsports fans, and we’re pleased to announce that Autodromo Nazionale Monza will soon join RaceRoom Racing Experience. Here you will be able to test the limits of the powerful and illustrious cars already to join R3E, as well as many more yet to come.

Monza is a circuit beloved by millions, we’re honored to bring it to life in R3E, and we look forward to sharing it with you soon!

In 2005, Radical announced the SR9 and their intention to enter the car in the LMP2 class of the European LeMans series. It was a huge undertaking, but in less than a year Radical made good on their promise and entered the SR9 into the series.

The SR9 was remarkably competitive, thus surpassing expectations for the quickly produced car and making Radical recognized as a serious contender on the racetrack. This achievement was crowned by the brand new SR9 competing in and finishing the 24 hours of LeMans!

The team at Radical Sportscars knows racing and the SR9 proved to be groundbreaking on many levels.

We’re proud to announce that the Radical SR9 will soon join RaceRoom Racing Experience, and that both the Judd and AER powered SR9 will be available, so choose your favorite (or grab both) and enjoy!

Recently we announced that the Monza Circuit and the Radical SR9 would be joining RaceRoom Racing Experience. Some of you have asked us to provide a release date for the content we announce. It isn’t always possible for us to do this, but today we’re happy to tell you that the Monza Circuit, the Radical SR9, and the Pagani Zonda R will all be released next week!

On Wednesday, May 8th, R3E will receive an injection of new content and you’re invited to try out the new cars and track for free! Clear your calendars and visit the competitions tab on the dates below to join in one of the Try Before You Buy challenges.

Two new race cars and one new race track joined R3E today! The famous Italian circuit of Monza, the Pagani Zonda R and two versions of the Radical SR9 (AER & JUDD) have been added to the RaceRoom Racing Experience lineup and are waiting for you in the R3E store!
This release is accompanied by two test drive events. Visit the competition page and drive the Radical SR9 for free around Hockenheimring for 24 hours beginning today at 1800 CEST, then come back tomorrow and take the 750+ horsepower Pagani Zonda R for a rip around the newly released Monza Circuit!
