Is there an option or mod to enable one via HUD, or is this planned in a future release? The dashboard gauge is a bit hard to read.

I agree. A virtual Gauge would also be useful to hide the virtual wheel in open wheelers, while keeping the display info.

If you have a HD monitor and TrackIR, or you have 3 Screens, then cockpit cam with real gauges and mirrors are probably the most realistic.

When you have a single monitor with average resolution and no head tracking... then a virtual mirror (already in game) and a virtual gauge would help each player to find the most inmersive view to play the game.

People use to talk as if the only realistic way to play a sim is to place the cam at the same coordinates where the head is placed in the real vehicle, but I do not agree.

A realistic field of view and realistic sense of speed are as important as a realistic cam position. If you move the cam forward until you see the asphalt running under your car (like nose cam), then you have a more realistic sense of speed. If you move the cam a bit backward (like TV cam), you get a field of view more similar to what you see with your eyes in a real car.

I like sims designed to allow a realistic experience for the players, but please, let each player decide which view settings are more realistic and inmersive, depending on the available hardware.

They (Kunos) did think of this with Ferrari Virtual Academy, when you hid the wheel it kept the readout displayed.

Oh, then maybe they include something similar for netkar in the future.

I found this MOTEC display seems to work for Netkar:

...altough I was searching for something that do not need additional hardware.

Along with the option to display MPH, so I actually know how fast (or slow) I'm going :P.
