Guest D34N0 Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 both the car AND the track look great! Is this a preview of what's coming?
Guest Finnro Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 Would be nice, but that is the good old netKar Namie Version.
Guest CAR Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 The entire 0.9.x branch used a "code driven" approach to modeling. In this approach different cars were implemented through a DLL containing the actual data and custom code for a particular car. All the DLL linked to a static lib containing a "base car" class. The cars were derived from this base core. From Kunos' old blog (about netKar), then... - "Data driven" modelingIn netKar PRO v1.0 I have abandoned the idea of having cars implemeneted as DLL and I designed a "general" car object that was driven by a database file containing the car description. So any bright ideas anyone?
Guest nicolas30on Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 A couple real world cars could help bring a lot of new players to netkar pro that are not that much into open wheelers
Guest nicolas30on Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 I do hope so eventually a dozen "normal" (that supra is a race spec gtr car) find their way to netkar. What made me interested to netkar namie many many years ago was its great modeling and handling of normal cars..And then netkar pro has and it is just an open wheeler simulator.A lot of people including me still don't jump to netkar for this reason alone as a lot of people are not that much into open wheelers...(and please don't even mention the egg shaped fwd abbarth...)
