VELOCIPEDE Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 Regulations for the GT1 category stipulated that to be eligible, a total of 25 cars must be built for road use. Porsche developed a fully road-legal version, dubbed "911 GT1 Strassenversion," and delivered one in early 1996 to the German government for compliance testing, which it passed. The engine had to be slightly de-tuned to meet European emissions laws, although its 600hp - 447kW (640hp+ - 477kW+ in race trim) and dry weight of 1,125 kg (2,480lbs) proved to be more than adequate. The vehicle could accelerate to 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standstill in 3.3 seconds on its way to a top speed of ~330 km/h (~205 mph).Mod includes; : 600hp @ 7200rpm - 480ft/lb @ 3950rpm 'street' engine. : 'Locked' street gearbox and final-drive. : 1205kg weight (1125kg car + 80kg driver) : slightly higher ride-height and softer spring-rates. : Pirelli P-Zero tyre compound (suitable for both wet and dry). Credits; Aleksssk and team for the fantastic 911 GT1 mod. Thanks guys. papagis (Kostas) for the 4 (white, silver, red and black) skins. Thanks Kostas. Install; Unpack and install into your 'Porsche 911 GT1' folder in GTR2. NO files will be over-written. Will show in showroom as '1996 Porsche 911 GT1 Strassenversion' Cheers and have fun, Bruce Crocko 05 -> http://www.nogripracing.com/details.php?filenr=27127
