Hello Petrolheads

This is the package for the Caterham R500 Superlight like sold in the UK.

If you want some of those superfast, overpowered, hundreds of HP mods then this is not for you.

The approach is more to create a realistic, demanding and hardcore driving experience.

And be warned, using the illustrious words of Jezza: If you overcook it, it will bite your head off

Quite a bit more tailhappy than the 'normal' CSR260, more precise, with a little less Grip and faster acceleration. So you'll need a finer blade to keep it in check.

Features:

- New engine file

- New supension file with broader track width, correct measurements for wheelbase

- New HDC with lower centre of gravity, lowered tank position, stronger brakes, etc.

- New tyre material

- some minor changes in the .aud file

- Caterham R500 livery

If you ask: Why should I use this one, the CSR260 is almost the same?

Well, my times for Col Joux Plane Rally:

CSR260 5:33.1

R500 5:26.8

And another reason: The better, louder, nastier engine sound - 9000rpm

If anyone knows who did the CAR CUBE files that are included, please tell me! I can't remember where I got them from, sorry.

Due to overwriting issues I will not include the files that change the Window.DDS and Generic_D.DDS. These files will give you the rearlights, the front grille '7'-sign and the brighter colored seats of the R500. But if you don't bother having this change for ALL Caterham versions(CSR 260, etc) you can download them here:

Installation:

First you'll need the Caterham Mod for GTR2 from here(registration needed):

After that just overwrite with the files of this package.
