Pitstopboss News Update - 10th September 2009

Hello and welcome to another update.

Today sees the introduction of Alliances and some Supporter mode enhancements, plus a few minor fixes.

Supporter mode currently comes in a few flavours:

$3.50 for the month (with some bonus credits)

$27.50 for the year (with 110,000cr)

$35.00 for the year (with 230,000cr)

For now, since everyone has many of the supporter functions active, there are a few noticeable enhancements if you purchase now:

* No adverts (you can turn them off and speed up the website)

* 300 setup save slots available (never run out of setup space again!)

* Ability to create an Alliance (finally, it's here!).

* Large amount of Bonus credits.

Over the next few months, some of the supporter options will be phased out from the non-supporters.

People who bought the monthly 'No Ads' package for $3.50 are automatically upgraded to the monthly supporter option.

Alliances can now be created by supporters only. The alliance racing will start in earnest from next week, so get your team together now.

You can even design a livery for your alliance now!

I have begun work on the Skill level based racing system. It's not fully finished yet, but will become active soon.

Skill level based racing will:

* Divide all players into 3 distinct skill levels (Novice, Amatuer, Professional).

* Try and ensure you are racing against fairly evenly matched competitors.

* Handicap opponents from higher skill levels when racing in lower skill level competitions. (So a Professional cant race against Novices without a handicap).

Besides all the above, I've fixed a few minor bugs and text bugs.

There will be some inevitable minor issues as I adjust some competitions to fit into the new skill level system and also to fit into the alliance system.
