VELOCIPEDE Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 Pitstopboss News Update - 25th August 2009Today we have more cost cutting initiatives than Max and the FIA. After careful analysis of the component upgrades system, I've seen that there are several loopholes that allow exploits and also that the costs could start spiralling out of a manageable level (which wasn't the intention), so I've come up with a few adjustments that should make things simpler, stop exploits and cost a lot less to maintain. * You can now use the same upgrade in any competition with any driver. * Upgrades will take slightly more general damage, so be careful not to over-use them. * The cost of upgrades is sligtly adjusted, but overall it is much much cheaper to run upgrades. In order to keep the game competitive for all players and to plug any loopholes with setup formulas being used, I am making another slight change to the setup system * Based on the amount of sliders a competition has, the amount of runs made available to you will be slightly less. (between 6 and 8 runs) * It may result with your setups not being as high, but it will severely impair the setups of people using formulas to get setups - so it should even up the field a lot. * The full effects of this may take up place in the next round of your competition if anyone has made their 10 runs. Now for some bugfixes and changes: * Fixed a bug with high driver pricing. (should be back to normal now). * Added liveries for the livery competition winner (jlincott) * Fixed a bug whereby some people were able to run the same driver in 2 comps. * Added a bit more variety to the amount of skill levels
