Guest Faust Posted May 21, 2003 Posted May 21, 2003 Ciao ragazzi! Come da titolo ho appena finito di reinstallare Gpl e mi manca il vroc:P come si setta? sorry ma nn ricordo molto bene Ciaozz!
Guest DMontemurri Posted June 8, 2003 Posted June 8, 2003 Create a vroc.ini text file with the VROC IP address in it. A pre-made vroc.ini text file is available on our FTP site. You must put the vroc.ini file in the VROC \ WinVROC directory. This is usually located in C:\Program Files\ VROC \ WinVROC The vroc.ini text file contains the lines... [VROC] Address=64.81.67.113 The IP address number here is current - but it changes now and then. When it does, the GPL online community is well informed and any new address number simply replaces the old one in this text file. The first time you run VROC you'll have to fill in your details - like the name which will show up in the VROC chat screen identifying you. Please note that the ASRG has always been a club that has used real names and non-cryptic nick-names which adds a lot to the community feel of the club. It'd be well received if you respect this tradition. The first time you run VROC after placing the vroc.ini file where it belongs all the races in the VROC race list may be coded red - indicating that you can't join them. It's an anomaly of VROC that you have to re-tell VROC where your GPL directory is after you place the vroc.ini file. From within VROC, from the top menu bar, select VROC, then Options, then on the GPL Folder page ( which may look like it already says the correct folder for GPL ) select any other folder you like, and then re-select the correct GPL folder again, then select OK. This curious procedure bumps it into working order again. Once you've done these things you should be able to join our races on the standard tracks without a problem. If you do have any problems then go to the GameArena Racing forum and ask for help. There you'll get friendly helpful advice from people who've seen it all. In addition to the standard tracks a number of third party tracks have been created which are used by the GPL online racing community and by us also. You'll have to download and install such additional tracks to your system before you'll be able to race on them. These are available from various places online and again a call for help in the GameArena Racing forum should solve any problems you may have finding them.
