Guest J J Cooper Posted August 31, 2003 Posted August 31, 2003 How do you Take them and what file are they in when they are taken?
Guest daf Posted August 31, 2003 Posted August 31, 2003 You can capture a screenshot by pushing the print button on your keyboard. Once you did it the shot will be in your windows clipboard. Open any graphic editing program you want (ex: MS Paint or Imaging). Paste it to create a new image file and save it in every graphic file format you want. By the way the source graphic format is a bitmap. bye
Guest J J Cooper Posted August 31, 2003 Posted August 31, 2003 I Don't mean to sound stupid btu where is the WINDOWS clipboard and if it is the MyPictures folder then they are not showing up
Guest Ecio Posted August 31, 2003 Posted August 31, 2003 JJ: i suggest u to download FRAPS, u can get it from www.fraps.com (i use the 1.9D free version). It captures screenshots in bitmap (u can then convert them with a sw like PaintShopPro, Acdsee, Irfanview etc..) in the same directory of fraps.exe It also shows you how many frame per seconds the game is running
Guest daf Posted September 1, 2003 Posted September 1, 2003 I Don't mean to sound stupid btu where is the WINDOWS clipboard and if it is the MyPictures folder then they are not showing up  I explane me better: clipboard in Windows Operating Systems is a memory area where the o.s. puts every type of data you copy, and from where the o.s. gets data when you paste it. When you push the print button the o.s. (so you can't 'see' it or do anything to manage it) automatically grab the actual screen and puts it (as a bitmap) in this area. So you have this image in the clipboard area but you can't see it directly, you have only to know that the o.s. has done this job! Open now - 4 example - the Paint program (Main->Programs->Accessories->Paint) you can see the Paste button enabled (while the other buttons are disabled). Push it and the program will create a new image fullfilled by the bitmap in the clipboard. Now you have only to save this image in every of the avaible program file formats. :bye:
