VELOCIPEDE Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 ThunderWheels is a racing game with top-down perspective (plus third and first person view) we wanted to re-create the feeling of those games made in the 80' but with more realistic physics and better graphics This game is strongly inspired in Generally, slicks n' slides and Ivan "Ironman" Stewart's Super Off Road. Current features (this game is WIP): * WYSIWYG track editor 99% feature ready (named GBEditor) with realtime terrain deformation, texture splatting and 12 brushes * five complete circuits * four car types based on: jeep willys, landrover defender, and two versions of our own designed monstertruck * AI working * top-down camera + third and first person camera * surround sound and EAX trough OpenAL and it plays OGG files * customizable physics, skins etc... all assets are visible and editable Planed features: * mask/import image in GBEditor with alpha blending to allow photoshop users take control of every pixel in the base texture * bigger tracks * static geometry for grass and trees * fancy effects, lens flare, dynamic clouds etc * network * better GUI to configure track list, skins, networking etc. The keys are (press the "help" button in the main menu for more info): Arrow UP: accelerate Arrow DOWN: break + rear driving Arrow LEFT: left Arrow RIGHT: right S: reset car's position F1: 1st person camera F2: 3rd person camera F3: top-down camera F4: bird-eye camera moves with AWSD + mouse right click This is our website: GBoot team web site http://www.g-boot.com And the download link: ThunderWheels demo http://www.g-boot.com/index.php?option=com...select&id=1
