Effective immediately, all community work (Indy95 mod, CC 2007 mod, Champcar challenge mod, long beach track) will stop. It is apparent that the community, and by that we mean a certain fellow that goes by RacerM over on these forums:

thinks he is god and has the right to leak our stuff. We have no choice but to stop making stuff. Sorry, but you'll need to contact him and "thank" him for his acts of piracy.

The 3 mods mentioned above will stay in house until further notice.

Not that I feel obligated to respond to any of the forum chat going on about us holding back our work, but I would like to thank those that dont jump to conclusions. I (meaning me, Doug) did not make this decision all by myself. In fact, I dont make ANY major iDT decisions by myself. Every mod has it's own leader of that project and they make the calls. All current iDT members had input to hold all work. The result is exactly what we wanted. People started discussing it and brought the topic out into the open where it should be.

A lot of you said "it would have been better if they didnt say anything.. blah blah,, such a small forum,, etc...

You are wrong. We wouldn't have gotten any response at all from RacerM and people would have assumed it was ok to download. This way, at least we brought attention to the problem.

People are saying we are overreacting to this situation. In fact, its the community that is the one overreacting. What makes people think they are entitled to any of our work? And not sure what somones reference to commercial development is about, we have no commercial projects that I'm aware of.

iDT was founded because a group of us enjoyed making these things to race. Everyone else happens to like it too. If/When we feel like sharing, it will be when we, as a team, decide to.
