Guest Uff
Arrivata l'alpha 0.75, volta a facilitare il gioco online. A new version (V0.75) of VGP3 is available! It adds some functionalities to the sim, so it's released as Alpha (you can find it in the Download section of the VGP3 website under "Latest build"). The main improvement of the latest build is the adoption of ANL lib, our new, custom networking library, so that OpenPlay is no more required (*). ANL lib should be more compatible, slightly faster and, most important of all, gives you full control over the ports you need to open in order to host or join an online race. You can now select not only the port that the host will be using, but also the port you're connecting from on the client (by default, 20000 for the server and 20001 for the client). Thanks to the new lib, it should be easier to configure a firewall and/or a router: - if you're the server, allow TCP and UDP traffic on the server port; if you're in a private network, configure the router to forward the port (by default, server will use port 20000) - if you're the client, do the same for the client port: allow TCP and UDP traffic and forward that port (by default, clients use port 20001) * Important: because of the new networking library, V0.75 isn't compatible with previous versions of VGP3, don't mix V0.75 with previous versions in a client-server online network. Guest Uff
The first beta of TrackDesigner3, the VGP3 track editor, is now available from the Download section for VGP3! It is suggested to use it along with the latest (v0.78 ) version of VGP3, that features a better (ie faster) AI track learning algorithm. TrackDesigner3 is the first in the series of modding tools we're going to release; as soon as possible we'll upload ObjectConverter, a tool that converts 3ds and lwo 3d objects into the VGP3 3d engine internal format - ObjectConverter is the ideal TKD3 companion, it allows you to import objects created with popular 3d tools/modelers into tracks created with TKD3. As a final note, please read carefully the documentation on the VGPedia - TKD3 is a powerful tool but needs a bit of practice to be mastered! http://www.vgp3.com/main.php
