Open the Command Interpreter (cmd) ping your default gateway ( the router ) from your computer. The response time should be < 3 ms. If you see ping spikes here you either have a lousy signal quality or your network card have problems with the 802.11g standard ( 54Mbit ). I for example cannot use my intel 2200bg card with my dlink router using the 802.11g standard because it causes huge ping spikes and even timeouts. Forcing the network card to only use 802.11b (11Mbit) gives me a stable response time of 1 ms. 2.) If you dont have any ping spikes from your computer to the router check the respone time from the router to your isp gateway. If you locate the problem here complain to your isp. 3.) Play on servers that are near your geographical location 4.) Nella finestra prompt msdos scrivi: ping 192.168.1.1 (l'indirizzo ip del tuo router) Se la risposta e' inferiore a 3ms allora va tutto bene. Sapete come devo fare per forzare la mia scheda di rete wi-fi ad usare solo 802.11b?Devo farlo dal router? Advanced-Advanced Wireless - B/G Mode (di default e' su mixed), ma io non penso che dipenda da questo il problema. Per vedere lo stato della linea dal router, prova ad andare su Status-Device Info e dovrebbe darti tutti i valori di S/N, attenuazione, ecc (non so se sul firmware originale ci sia e sia anche li o no, prova a vedere). Ah, dagli screen il firmware e l'immaginetta del router sono identici al mio da originale. P.S. Non cambia quasi nulla, ma setta anche DHCP - Disabled, e poi sul pc metti l'ip manualmente in impostazioni di rete, senno' rischi che se hai anche un altro pc connesso al router quello che usi con rfactor prenda un ip diverso e le regole di forwarding ecc si fan benedire (oltre che per fattori di sicurezza).
