Some parts of the mod are based from previous GP2 mods (i.e GP2 Series 2006 mod by NunuX/Wardog and GP2 2008 mod by Simco) and all credits go to them as this GP2 Asia Mod will not be made if not for them. If there are any permission issues, this mod will quickly be removed as they have the rights to there work. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DESCRIPTION: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This mod includes the following: - All cars from the 2009/2010 GP2 Asia Series - Optimized drivers performance based on the current season (continued update will be given once results come out of each race) - Includes the Abu Dhabi Yas Marina track by NAD and the Bahrain International Circuit (I am unaware of who the author is but all credits go to him for the amazing track) A. Customized GDB - to emulate the correct times of practice, qualifying and correct number of laps for both feature and sprint races B. For the Yas Marina Circuit, edited the rumble strips and barriers to decrease crashes - Batch Files to switch from Race 1 Point System to Race 2 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BATCH FILE USAGE ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There are two batch files included in the Mod to basically emulate slightly the GP2 point system. To emulate the scoring system, please do the following: 1. If your running a Season and your currently in a Feature Race, make sure to click on the "R1 Point System" batch file before running rFactor. 2. For Sprint Races, vice versa of step 1 and ensure to click on the "R2 Point System" batch file before running rFactor. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ACCURATELY EMULATING THE SCORING SYSTEM ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you want to accurately emulating the scoring system, you just basically need to edit your CCH file. This is located in your User Data folder and will show the opponents, best lap times, Race Season points and position , etc. Manually input the points you allocate for the Season in order to emulate the scoring system. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- INSTALLATION ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Unzip downloaded file 2. Copy and paste everything to your rFactor folder 3. Run rFactor, select GP2 Asia and enjoy! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- OTHER INFO'S ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - You can also emulate the reverse grid format of the GP2 Asia Mod again in the CCH file. The file is straight forward and in text file format so you wouldn't be confused which goes where. - This might come in handy if your willing to fiddle around the CCH file: RaceSession=1 "Practice 1" RaceSession=2 "Practice 2" RaceSession=3 "Practice 3" RaceSession=4 "Practice 4" RaceSession=5 "Qualifying" RaceSession=6 "Warmup" RaceSession=7 "Race" - As I have noticed, "0" is commonly used as setting in the CCH file and mostly "0" is referred as number 1. - Suggested settings: Aggression = 100 Tire Wear = 2 if your using full race distance, 4 if your just running 50% laps and times - The Yas Marina Circuit, as stated above, has been edited to decrease unirealistic crashes. If you do not like the track version, simply delete the GMT files located in the Yas Marina folder.
