VELOCIPEDE Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 davvero molto comodo... Hi People. I decided that an easy to use and visual editor for engine physics would be a handy tool for modders out there, so I put this together. It is fully functional for torque curve editing. You just load the file, make the changes, and save the file. No more copy and paste from Excel. or winging it with notepad. Hopefully, this will eliminate errors from typos, or odd torque shapes etc. This is using dragging and dropping like the Excel file does, but no confusion about which line you are pulling on. A backup of the original file is made as filename.in_ when you save the file, and the file can be saved under a new name if desired. Besides being able to drag the graph to the right shape, you can click on the torque numbers and manually edit them, as well. The program also automatically recognizes Upgrades.ini files with engine curves in them, so the proper syntax is maintained when saving the file. (Upgrade file have "HDV=" in front of the "RPMTorque=(", so has to be handled differently). Hope everyone working on engine power curves will use this handy tool. Anyone else just interested in looking at the curves of the various mods will enjoy this too. Don't forget though, that if you modify engine files you will get mismatches online. I will be adding an interface for the tire slip curves next, (as I consider those to need a tool to see what you are doing, and get good results with), and eventually all of the Statements in all the physics files will be covered. Hopefully at some point you will be able to see what is right or wrong with the whole car physics easily. [attachmentid=15348] [attachmentid=15349] PhysicsEditor.zip
