VELOCIPEDE Posted May 3, 2004 Posted May 3, 2004 Ok.. so here is how we set about getting a server working properly for iGOR race hosting. Original problem: clients timing out on connection. With and without client authentication. (1) the firewall was turned off to rule that out. Clients still timed out on connection. (2) bandwidth settings were overridden in the iGOR host dialog to 3/84/3/84/mdm. Clients can now join! (3) firewall turned back on. Clients can no longer join... (4) firewall ports opened - 30196-tcp, 30197-tcp, 30198-tcp, 30199-udp; 32766 to 32786 inclusive (udp). Clients can connect! Additionally, do NOT use the bandwidth patch unless you know what you're doing AND YOU OVERRIDE THE PARAMETERS IN iGOR HOST!!! Client Authentication has been ruled out as the cause of timing-out connection problems.
