SUPER TOURING RELOADED AND PRE SUPER TOURING - This is a graphical update of my first ever mod 'AL Super Touring' for the Race07 series. I had to build and learn everything from scratch to make the mod. It was 'learning by doing', and it resulted in a little bit messy mod, so I've tidied it up.
You need the STCC addon from Simbin to get the sound of some of the cars. If you don't have STCC installed, you can just replace the .aud files with a file from a car you got.
What's new:
Reworked physics for all cars New structure with genstrings Updated all wheels andadded some new ones Two pre super touring classes with physics Super Touring seasons split into two classes (new class for L4 with own physics) New cars and versions of cars One new old style helmet Tweaked sound levels More unique helmets Simple textured chassis (when bumpers come loose or car is upside down) Updated normals for some cars Update and some bugfixes to the 'simulator' Added Simbin's 850 Estate (graphics). Genstrings:
1: bodystyle 1='98, 2=post '98 wheel arches, 3=optional 2: front bumper 0=pre ST, 1='98, 2=optional 1, 3=optional 2 3: helmet 0=closed, 1=open visor, 2=no visor helmet, 3=old style 4: wheels 0=oz multi spoke, 1=6-spoke, 2=5-spoke, 3=8-spoke, 4=bbs, 5=extra1 6=extra2 (all cars don't have all wheels) 5: rear wing 0=no rwing, 1=super touring v1, 2=super touring v2, 3=roadcar rwing (most cars have 0, 1,) 6: lights 0=pre '98, 1='98, 2=facelift (for a few cars like rear light for Audi A4)) //7: rearview mirrors 1=standard road car/ST, 2=optional (not used yet) //8: not used 9: left/right hand drive l=left hand drive, r=right hand drive (only for few cars, Vauxhall Vectra)
Because of the new structure and some other changes, addons made by others will not work with this update to begin with. Sorry for that.
SUPER TOURING SEASONS - Install: The 'Seasons' addon uses a Championship simulator to set up a new season based on the previous season. The files in 'SaveDataChampionship' has to be placed into your Simbin savedata path. It should be something like:
1. Unzip 'Gamedata' and 'UIData' to your Race 07 directory (Steam version)
2. Unzip the files in 'SaveDataChampionship' to your user folder. It should be something like: C:\Users\*usename*\Documents\SimBin\RACE 07\UserData\*game profile name*\Championships\Official You can find the first part in the game Options > Open User Folder
3. Set up the simulator files. Open 'Championship_Settings.txt' and write down where Steam is installed (must be on the 4th row) You can also add your own tracks here. Save and close the file.
4. Open 'Championship_simulator.hta' or 'Championship_simulator.html' in iexplorer, or run 'Championship_simulator_fullscreen.bat' to open in kiosk mode. Allow blocked contents, and allow ActiveX controller (might needs to be don in iexplorer tools section). Standard security settings should work. If ActiveX controllers are blocked, the simulator asks you to import and export files manually. At start up the simulator will show a simplified view. Click the 'Change settings' button for more options. Write your name and set up your championship. Selecting a brand will restart your carieer, selecting 'Continue with the same brand' will create a new season year based on the previous year. Select tracks you have installed, or you will get an error message later. When everything is set up properly, press 'Export new championship'-button.
5. Start up Race07, then Championship > Championship Simulator > load 'Championship' (there is also one file marked 'completed' which can't be loaded).
6. When the season is completed, open the simulator again, 'Continue with the same brand' to continue or select a new brand. For the talent file changes to take effect, you need to restart the game before starting a new season.
7. There is also a Jaguar safety car in this mod. If you want to activate it (it will replace all the standard safety cars, but the activation can easily be reverted) open your ...race 07\Gamedata\Teams\TrackVehicles\Safetycar folder, open all the .car files and follow the instructions.
8. There is an edited .aiw file for Thruxton full included. The update prevent the cars from crashing in the last chicane. Paste 'Thruxton_Full.AIW' into ...race 07\Gamedata\Locations\Thruxton_Full if you have that track installed.
General improvements: Overhauled 3D-meshes * New Simbin style mapping to replace the old Toca2 style one, increased resolution. * New materials. * Updated interior graphics for some cars by qwerty24. * Some minor performance changes to some cars.
This is NOT a TOCA2 conversion, everything in the mod is made from scratch. Please don't change anything in this mod without my permission.
