BCast The app for broadcasting ​ How it works: The app is for broadcasting of an online race. It helps you to see how the other guys are doing. Without this app, you had to use ctrl+1/2/3 to focus on the car ahead or behind. BCast calculates the time gap of each car and chooses the car in most interesting situation at the time. If you click a button, or press a certain key, it focuses on the car in most close battle. And it displays some information of the focused car. Here is an example video. There are 4 windows in the app. 1. Control window - the code of this window is based on actioncam app. You control everything in this window. At the right side of the window, it shows position and name of the driver who is in the most interesting situation. When you click the "Next" button, it focuses on the driver. There is a small box left. It is a text input box. If you type a key into the box, you can let it do something. You MUST click the box first. It doesn't accept key input if the box is not highlighted. I got the idea form Minolin's actioncam app. Thanks Minolin for letting me use your code. 2. Subtitle window It displays information of the currently focused car and the car ahead. Position, driver name, emblem, time gap, speed, gear, RPM and last lap record is displayed. An interesting feature is that it allows you to show the photo of the driver. You must put the photo of the driver at "BCast/img/driver" folder. File name must be "<user name>.png". The size of image should be 150pixels by 150pixels. 3. Standing window - the code is based on SubStanding app. The standing window is based on the SubStanding app written by MegadetH. Thanks MegadetH for letting me use your code. What I added is the the background image, highlighting the drivers in close battle, and indication of pit. Drivers who are in less than 0.3s gap is highlighted as yellow. The drivers who recently switched position are highlighted red. Indentation for currently focused car. 4. Session Info window Session time is displayed during the practice session and qualifying session. Lap info is displayed during the race session. When SC is deployed, it shows yellow flag and SC mark at right. In my league, we deploy SC manually. When "mercedes_sls_sc" is on track, then SC in on. Of course you can use other cars as SC. Find and replace "mercedes_sls_sc" in BCast.py with whatever car name you want. How to install How to install is similar to other AC apps. 1) Download the file, extract, then copy and paste where AC is installed. There are two folders in the .zip file: apps and contents. put both folders in Assetto Corsa installation folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa). 2) One more step is required. The font used in the app is "Arial Unicode MS" which is included in Windows by default. Copy the font from Windows font folder (C:\Windows\Fonts) and paste the ARIALUNI.TTF file to fonts folder in AC (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\content\fonts). 3 - optional) Or you can use different font if you want. Put that font file in the font folder of AC. And open BCast.py of the app with a text editor, edit the line with font name.
