//------------------------------------

Welcome to Super Touring Cars!

The mod was originally made for Race On by Andreas FSC. This was his first mod and has learnt everything to bring it up to standard. Evo Monkey has then converted the mod to rFactor (With permission). While the original V1.0 release was sketchy, it has now been improved by many helpful people around the community. However, there are still improvements to be made for the future.

//------------------------------------

What will be new in version 1.5?

Graphics:

- Re-coloured MoTeC, changed from a bright blue to a more dull green/black display

- Re-positioned MoTeC, it now fits much better on each individual dashboard

Menus:

- Slightly revamped menu structure to accommodate more classes/championships if and when they become available.

- New spinner floor

- New UI background which was never included in V1.2 despite the release notes stating it would be

Physics:

- AI Driver training files for all tracks in the 1998 championship

- Added RWD tire for the BMW

- Added back changeable gear ratios

- Lengthened the default final drive for the AI

Other:

- Slightly tweaked mod name to fit the new series/cars which may be incorporated in the future

- Completely revamped folder structure to be more user friendly when adding skins to the game

- New pace car, Audi A4 with lights on top

- New temp car, very low poly Renault Laguna with temp livery

- A new damage file now allows front bumpers (Selected cars) and wing mirrors to be removed upon high impact

- Skinning made much more friendly with less textures to deal with

- GEN String upgrades are now incorporated, there are a few choices currently for different wheels, wing and bumper options; although this is dependent on the car. See the skinning guide (Download with templates) for more reference

- Added a new car, BMW 318i, with 3 skins from BTCC 1996. Find in the BTCC 1996 category

//------------------------------------

What's the future got in store?

Currently, Andreas is hard at work making new cars, these are as follows:

- Vauxhall Cavalier

- Alfa 155

- Volvo 850

When these are finished, they will be converted over to be used in the rFactor version of the mod.

Also, new skins are hoping to be made so we can add other series to the mod. Due to how the mod is now structured, these can be offered later as skin packs and you will not have to wait for an update. Another advantage is you will only have to download the series you want, meaning smaller download size and less time waiting for the download to finish!
