Friday the 18th of December Circuit Zolder hosts the Dunlop Open Time

This Friday Circuit Zolder host the Dunlop sponsored Open Time Competition for our beta testers. New beta keys have been sent out this week so we'll have a maximum reach of testers available for this last live event of 2009!.

The teams of Bylemans Racing (Mini Cooper S John Cooper Works) and Moritz Racing (Marcos Mantis) have been equipped with brand new Dunlop tyres and are ready to face the challenge to try and beat our beta testers in a real-time battle with their real cars on the real track and our testers gaming directly from there homes!

Our beta testers have all been invited to login from 12:00 - 15:00 GMT at Friday December 18th 2009 and experience the iOpener Enable feature that allows them to race in real-time.

We wish both the real teams as their virtual challengers a great race tomorrow!

After 3 long hours of racing the Marcos and the two Mini's are approaching the end of their races. It has been a good test from technical perspective.

The testers have seen a group of Mini's that were nose to tail for the full set of races we had today, brilliant driver skills from all involved!

Unfortunately restrictions on the exhaust sounds forced the Marcos driver to pull his heavy right foot of the throttle as he was producing too much noise (can it be too loud we wonder ?), therefore he was running slower than normally. Once he wanted to satisfy the gamers at home by speeding it up and hit full throttle he was taken out by the race direction with a black flag!

The race is now about to end as the darkness is kicking in early in Belgium around this time of the year.
