VELOCIPEDE Posted October 9, 2009 Share Posted October 9, 2009 And the countdown timer on the RTR site struck zero!After years of hard work and tons of preparations from the RTR Crew the day we all have waited for finally arrived. The first ever iOpener Enabled race with the pro's driving on the real track and the race gamers sitting at home behind their pc's waiting for the starting lights to go out! At exactly 11:00 GMT this morning the race was on! The roaring sounds of the three Marcos Mantis cars of Team Moritz Racing took the challenge to try and beat the 25 virtual drivers at home. Three hours later everybody was still logged on and having big fun challenging the pros where they could. Our testers commented on the forum: "I have great faith in this technology, this is a big part of the future of simracing, and gaming in general." "Its just a lot of fun knowing someone "real" is driving in front of you". We as RTR are thrilled with the first results and we would like to thank all of the drivers that helped today with the first live testing. Games are being installed, introduction topics opened, and the first posts have been made to discuss the RTR game and iOpener Enabled feature. Welcome to the RTR community and we hope you'll like your exclusive stay with us!The coming week we will send out another batch of beta keys! If you are already registered to the website you should check your e-mail accounts on daily basis, cause maybe you are the next lucky person that we allow to test our innovative game! Please make sure that you keep your agenda's free on the 24th of October when we put you on the track to battle with Bas Leinders live in an official FIA GT event!
