GTL MoD final

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

MoD for GTR² - GTL to GTR2 MOD final by scca1981 - (incl. quick-fix for Lotus Elite and Mini Cooper S) note :

deinstall first any previous versions before installing this one !

there can be mismatch / CTD with other Mods who use older files from

previous GTL Mods like Pantera Cup or eSR BMW CSL Cup aso…to solve the

problem you must delete the GTL Mod final to get them work error-free again.readme :

This will be the final full release.

This is a 90% direct conversion.

No meshes or textures were edited from GTL.

Physics and sounds are also a direct conversion with the exception of

the side exhaust corvettes.

———————–Bugs———————————

- The Porsche 911 interior banners are causing issues and are not available.

- 1 car (forget which one) has no mirrors.

- A couple cars do not have full cpit lights.

- Still no working animated pop-up headlights.

- No int driver for TC Jaguar

———————-INSTALL——————————

It is advised to erase any previous versions. To install drop the gamedata folder included into your main GTR2 directory. Again… drop it into your

MAIN directory… example X:/GTR2.

BE SURE TO DELETE ANY FOLDER NAMED LEGENDS BEFORE THE NEW INSTALL!!!

This will be located in your Gamedata/Teams folder.

Also note that any add-ons will need to be updated.

———————-CREDITS——————————-

Conversion - scca1981

Single Makes GDB - Sunlap2

Advise and bug assistance - GTR2 community

Everything else - Simbin

———————-PERMISSIONS————————–

Open permissions for the most part. I do however ask that any sound or physic modification be cleared with me first. These items technically do not need modification as they are a direct conversion. We need to keep one main version.

for online use to prevent mis-matching.

If you enjoy this conversion I advise you purchase the full GTL game.

It can be found for very cheap as it is over 2 years old now.

—————————————————————————

!!! Do not convert to other PLATTFORMS then SimBin´s !!!

1972 Porsche 911S for GTL-GTR2 mod.

Thanks to greg7 for giving me permission to convert this mod over from GTL.

From GTL READ ME:

Physics based on 1972 Group 4 spec.

Originally Porsche had attempted to get the 911S homologated to group 2 (Group 2 was for touring cars and included the Capri2600 and BMW 2800CS).However the FIA had not agreed, calling the 911S instead a GT car and placing it in group 4. (With the early Pantera).

As it turns out group 4 and group 2 cars would run almost the same lap times.

At the 1972 LeMans test some weeks before the race the capri2600 seemed to be the fastest of anyone in group 2 or 4, however at the end of the test one car had gone faster it was the Kermer 911S.

The factory had placed its considerable weight behind the 914-6 for the last few years (with good results). However Kermer had stuck with the 911 and had one of the fastest.

By 72 the little 2.5 liter flat 6 had been pushed to as much as 275 hp.

this was on the outside edge of the engines reliability window and Kermer would not finish the 24hour race that year.

In 73 the engine would go to 2.7 along with a host of other modifications

to make what would be called the RSR but that is another story.

Runs very well with the other 1972 era cars like the Capri 2600, BMW 2800CS, Porsche 914-6, and small block vette and Pantera.

While not as forgiving as the BMW 2800CS, and with less power than all but the 914-6, well driven it is one of the best cars in this group.

Light weight, and with the ability that all 911 based race cars have to put down power on corner exit make it capable of very good lap times.

Special thanks to:

Ned, for cars #39, #84 and #181.

Franchouillard, for cars #139, #79 and #44

Clevy911, for the VDO tach and speedo
