È disponibile sul forum ufficiale di Live for Speed il progress report di Giugno. A Marzo il simulatore era stato aggiornato a DirectX 11, e adesso gli sviluppatori stanno utilizzando alcune delle funzioni di DX11. Una di queste è l'auto esposizione. Gli sviluppatori si sono mossi verso un'illuminazione più fisica, e ci sono diverse ragioni perché l'esposizione vada aggiustata. Non solo per i vari momenti del giorno, ma anche per le condizioni di luce che ci possono essere in qualsiasi posizione. Un esempio è quando si entra in un parcheggio a più piani in un giorno soleggiato e il l'esposizione va adattata a ciò che vedi, come succederebbe nella realtà. South City è ancora in lavorazione, è un processo più lungo di quanto immaginato visto che Eric (lo sviluppatore che si occupa di South City, ndr) sta aggiornando tutti i palazzi con un'architettura più dettagliata e sta aggiungendo nuove strade. Potete vedere lo stato dei lavori nelle immagini qui sotto. Inoltre è ufficialmente terminato il supporto a DirectX 9, per gli sviluppatori non c'era motivo per continuare a supportare due versioni. L'abbandono di DX9 comporta un aumento dei requisiti per quanto riguarda la scheda video, il simulatore infatti potrebbe soffrire vistosi cali di frame rate con una scheda DirectX 9.
